New Walker Procedure-Emphasizes Safety

Beginning Monday, August 17, 2009- Abney will begin a new policy concerning our students who walk from school (walkers).  We will release our walkers approximately 10 minutes after the dismissal bell or approximately 3:20 p.m.  This will allow for the majority of the busses and cars to have vacated the school grounds thus creating a much safer environment for our walkers to leave the campus.  Safety is a number one priority for all students and this policy will help ensure the safety of our students who live near Abney and walk home.
